Mac the photographer

We took Kenz out this afternoon to find some old things in Montrose to photograph, here are a few of our favorites. She has altered these photos from the originals that she took.

We found this old train car & she was bummed because it was behind a fence, but she managed to alter the photo & make it look cool.

These mailboxes caught her eye the first day we were here-- she went in the computer and altered the exposure & turned the mail boxes from an old rusty look to a cool vintage/artsy--(i don't know the correct term) look

There is an old junkyard over by my parents house (my mom calls it a darn eyesore) & Kenz found some old trucks & cars to photograph.

Kenz found this cool old. GMC truck to photograph. Have you ever seen a fire hydrant look this good?
My favorite is the old truck w/the red barn in the background. I am glad she likes her camera & she has an eye for finding neat things to photograph.

Seriously, can this dog get any cuter? Ha, he actually likes the snow. he has been exploring & sniffing around like crazy.

This was Wednesday moring. We woke up to new snowfall- & here is my boy out in his basketball shorts.

for some reason- Val wanted to go streaking out in front of Grandma's house & this was as naked as it gets- 17 degrees outside.

Tourists!

Here we are driving up to the Black Canyon national Park located just outside of Montrose colorado. Dad took us up there yesterday & I must say- wow beautiful scenery.

Let it Snow, let it snow-- it's off to Colorado we go.

Beautiful scenery on the way to Colorado.

Val's new toy (tom tom- gps) we named her Delores.

Driving through Telluride- we ended up getting to Colorado in 9.5 hrs-- w/snow & stopping two times- to let everyone stretch & go potty. One stop (shiprock, new mexico) took us over 30 min to get food @ Burger King.

We drove through Cortez & it was very white-- infact "delores" had us go through the town of Cortez & it was a little scary. Not the town-- the snowy roads.

Seriously, this dog of mine- he is so stinkin' spoiled-- but he is so so cute. I will be updating again soon, I have some fun snow pictures & the cutest snowman ever built!!

Merry Christmas!

O.k. so, we are going to Colorado for Christmas-- in fact-- we are here-- so I thought i would get caught up on my posting. We decided to celebrate our Christmas before we left. so here are a few fun gifts that we got.

Well it's official-- I am old. My baby is a teenager-- scary. She has really grown this past year, she is almost as tall as I am.

The things we LOVE about C.J. are (we-- are her family)

*Her laugh

*Her smile

*Her cute way she still twirls her hair when she is tired (I love this--so cute)

*Her sensitive side

*Her love of CSI's shows (MacKenzie loves that she watches them with her-- even when kenz catches her closing her eyes cuz she is scared or grossed out)

*Her middle name: Jolene-- my big sis. (I love her too)

*Her beautiful big brown eyes-- (her dad loves those eyes)

*Her competitive spirit (her dad loves that too)

*Her ability to make me laugh when I want to beat her (not litterally of course :)

*Her confidence (MacKenzie loves that)

*Her sweet way of asking if it is ok if she sleeps on our couch in our room when it is stormy

*Her dancing skills (her brother loves that--he especially likes it when she does the "jerk")

*Her toughness (her brother loves that she is tough)

Of course there are way more- but these are a few.

Elder Val Galvan III

Val was ordained an Elder & his father gave him an amazing blessing. We had Bishop McCleve, Bishop Basha, Bishop Larsen, & Brother Hancock stand in. Val is a handsome young man & we are proud of his accomplishments. It's hard to believe that he will be putting his papers in soon.
